  11. Does your site list the price history for the laptop? Say you see a Zenbook for $100 off but your sites says wait a minute, that laptop is usually $300 off so hold off for a better sale if you can.

  15. I used to work at Apple Retail: they do price matching at the retail stores IF you can show them the price of the brick and mortar listing of a competing offer (meaning no Amazon, but matches Best Buy if it’s an in store offer). If you’re a college student, that’s also a discount (though it doesn’t stack)

For a person like me who doesn’t edit photos or videos but demands a lot from my labtop, what suggestions do you have for people like me? Sometimes we focus a lot on recommendations for video and image content editors. I would be deeply grateful if you could bring some information for people like me. Thank you and much success πŸ™‚

Josh is right about Macs as usual. They hold value after years plus they keep marching for 5+ years easily. I used my last Mac for 6 years without any problem. I still have it. I Bought Macbook Pro 14 M1 pro base model in March 2022 because of Josh’s recommendation. It works perfectly and will stay with me for 6+ years just like the last one.

The last one was the Intel Mac with only 1 fan, it ran hotter. My current M1 Mac has 2 fans in it and I can’t hear them no matter how hard I try eavesdropping on it πŸ˜€

I realize U and HS are basically the same in AMD’s case, so this is a nitpick, but 8840HS isn’t exactly the same as last year’s 7840HS – it’s the same as 7840U. AMD themselves have confirmed this on their site. 7840HS’ "successor" (read, rebrand) is 8845HS.

I’ve always been afraid to buy Open-Box products, but I ended up getting my Asus G14 as excellent Open-Box quality, and it ended up being a great choice – the laptop was in like new condition, the seal on the box was just broken and the wrapping on the laptop was removed. A note on the box just said the laptop wasn’t what the previous owner was looking for. Great way to save up to a few hundred dollars if you ask me, especially if you have the time/patience!

    My only 16" options:
G16 – sexy but loud, lower TDP 4080, and expensive.
Pro 7i – best performance (amongst my choices), hate the lightbar and numpad (65% keeb user).
7i – looks better than pro 7i, but only 4070 and numpad and no ethernet.

At this point, I might as well just give up and buy a ThinkPad P1 Gen 7. Most expensive and least gpu capable, but everything is amazing and lasts the longest amongst all of em.

I’m the developer of a mobile app called "Reprice: Price Tracker," and I thought some of you might find it useful. It’s available for both Android and iOS. Reprice helps you track prices on Amazon (almost all markets) and many other websites. You set a target price, and it notifies you when the price drops, reaches your desired price, or even goes above a threshold. It’s free to track up to 10 products, so you can keep an eye on a few different laptops and snag the best deal when it comes around.

And just a heads-up β€” the app has a clean, user-friendly design that makes it super easy to use. πŸ˜‰

Hope this helps some of you save even more on your future laptop purchases!
